چکیده

The frequency and temperature dependences of the hysteresis loops in Pb[(Zr0.52Ti0.48)0.95(Mn1/3Nb2/3)0.05]O3 ceramics have been investigated. The polarization-field hysteresis curves show ‘pinched’ shapes at room temperature and higher frequencies, whereas they display normal square-like loops at 200 ̊C and frequencies lower than 10 mHz. Critical ferroelectric features such as the coercive field, polarization and internal bias field show a strong frequency or temperature dependence. The close relations between the P –E loops and the applied frequency and temperature indicate that the defect dipolar moment may change its magnitude with variation of the frequency or temperature. Comparing with the intrinsic depinning procedure induced by the changes in the distribution of defect dipoles, we provide new evidence for an extrinsic depinning mechanism of the defect dipoles in the bulk ceramics.

Rayleigh type behavior of the Young’s modulus of unpoled ferroelectric ceramics and its dependence on temperature

The dependence on stress of the low frequency Young’s modulus and mechanical losses of unpoled ferroelectric ceramics has been studied as a function of temperature. The Young’s modulus of unpoled Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 ~PZT! showed a Rayleigh type dependence, analogous to the one already described for the longitudinal piezoelectric coefficient. This has been associated to ferroelectric/ ferroelastic domai...

Dipoles in (La,Fe)-Codoped PZT 52.5/47.5 Piezoelectric Ceramics by Multifrequency Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

Ferroelectric 1 mol.% La3+ and 0.5 mol.% Fe3+ codoped Pb[Zr0 54Ti0 46]O3 ceramics were studied by means of multifrequency electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The obtained results prove that iron is incorporated at the [Zr,Ti]-site, acting as an acceptor and building a charged (Fe Zr,Ti V O ) defect dipole with a directly coordinated oxygen vacancy for partial charge compensation...

Depinning of 2 d and 3 d droplets blocked by a hydrophobic defect

On non-ideal real substrates the onset of droplet motion under lateral driving is strongly influenced by substrate defects. A finite driving force is necessary to overcome the pinning influence of microscale heterogeneities. The dynamics of depinning twoand three-dimensional droplets is studied using a long-wave evolution equation for the film thickness profile in the case of a localized hydrop...

Dielectric relaxation and pinning phenomenon of (Sr,Pb)TiO3 ceramics for dielectric tunable device application

The behavior of ferroelectric domain under applied electric field is very sensitive to point defects, which can lead to high temperature dielectric relaxation behaviors. In this work, the phases, dielectric properties and ferroelectric switching behavior of strontium lead titanate ceramics were investigated. The structural characterization is confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The high dielectric ...

High coupling piezoelectric thin films of Pb„Zr,Ti...O3-based ternary perovskite compounds for GHz-range film bulk acoustic resonators

We have deposited nearly stress-free single-crystal thin films of 001 Pb Mn,Nb O3–Pb Zr,Ti O3 PMnN-PZT on 001 MgO substrates by rf-magnetron sputtering using a quenching process after the film growth. It is found that single c-domain/single-crystal thin films of PMnN-PZT containing 5%–10% PMnN show a strong hard ferroelectric response with 2Ec 400 kV /cm and Ps 70 C /cm2. GHz-range film bulk ac...
